Plaza Zocalo is going to host a gastronomic festival in CDMX
From the 17th to the 25th of February, Plaza Zocalo will host “Corazon de Mexico” (Mexico’s Heart) food festival. This festival will gather more than 30 stated around Mexico together to display dishes such as Cochinita (Roasted pork), tlayuda (a kind of tortilla), mole and many more typical Mexican food. Each invited state will have their own booth to display their products and dishes.
Guests will be able to enjoy more than 80 types of activity. Guelaguetza (typical Oaxaca indigenous dance), gastronomic display, a chocolate workshop, Trio Huastecos etc. The event is going to have 3 stages, one of them dedicated for attractions such as live shows, dances, and other types of cultural events.
The second one will bring recognized chefs to teach the public many Mexican traditional receipts. People will be able to participate.
The last stage is going to be “The big Pyramid”. It will be lighted and inside it the states will display on a big screen each state natural beauty (Masuayama-san, the original link doesn’t say what kind of natural beauty, but probably it’s about parks, forest and things related).
Some museums will offer a free guided tour around the area of Zocalo, and other restaurants will participate selling unique dishes from many other states.
This event will have free admission. Starts at 10 A.M. and finishes at 19 P.M.
